Migratory Birds
Birds that flown over the globe,
looking for a place to settle,
Warm or cold,
It should be perfect,
Staying in the skies too long,
Flapping their wing too hard,
Just to find the perfect paradise,
Those movements across the winds,
These flocks you see far away,
Going in the same direction,
All through storms and beams,
Shooting stars that flown through their eyes,
They’ve seen much all over the globe,
Traveling through land and ocean,
Without losing trace of motion,
Who are these migrating birds.
(Poem on Migratory Birds by Sarah Shahzad, February 2021)
