Dream for a Perfect Mother

No mother stays with their young for a long period,

Only these elephants will stay side by side with them,

Stomping around herds, around those fields,

Miles by miles they have walked together,

Mothers are ready to give out shelter to their chicks,

But these penguins use themselves as shelters for them,

The harsh cold night and days, away from predators they stay,

Keeping them warm and healthy until they’re ready for the world.

Training cubs takes all practice and time from mothers,

Teaching and guiding them is discipline for the cheetahs,

They stay all alone just to school them,

Teaching them to be fast, flexible and intelligent they could be.

Realising that I have woken up from my dream,

And I could not possibly think of anyone better,

Anyone with all these qualities, only my mother,

She cares for me in every situation.
